Main identification characters
Small shrimp, with short legs and claws, brown-orange colour with large white spots. White eyes. The abdomen, held in vertical position, is moved around with a typical behaviour. 2 cm.
Possible confusions
It cannot be confused, for the colour pattern but also for the typical posture of the abdomen.

Interaction with other species
Many non obligate associations with anemones like Cryptodendrum adhaesivum, Actinodendron spp., or corals. Usually it stays around the anemone, without walking on the oral disc. An unexplained association with the mantis shrimp Lysiosquillina lisa has ben observed.
