Data exist in different language. Feel free to update this datasheet and translate the data : Le corps du poisson cocher de Mer Rouge a un aspect triangulaire, assez mince avec le museau en pointe. Sa 4ème dorsale est très allongée (Fouet du cocher). Deux bandes noires traversent son corps de haut en bas. Contrairement à d’autres espèces d’Heniochus (Heniochus accuminatus, Heniochus diphreutes), la première bande noire atteint l’oeil et les espaces entre les bandes noires sont de couleur jaune diffus.
Heniochus intermedius défend son territoire en menaçant, sans les attaquer, les congénaires imprudents.
