Nudibranche pouvant atteindre 50 mm de long. Très commun entre 5 et 20 m. Sa robe est de couleur rose tirant sur le mauve.

La tête porte deux paires de tentacules : ceux du bas servent au toucher, ceux du haut à l'odorat. En arrière, le dos est couvert de nombreux appendices, les papilles dorsales qui lui servent pour respirer (directement à travers la peau).
